American History should be divided into B.K and A.K (Before Kennedy and After Kennedy.) Whether we believe in the obvious conspiracy theory or the far-fetched lone gunman assertion, the undeniable truth is that America was permanently blown away on this spot. As Lincoln was the last death of the Civil War, Kennedy was the first death of Vietnam. If Kennedy lived, most Americans would have never heard words like Vietnam, Demonstration, and Watergate; the Beatnicks would’ve never become Hippies and there would’ve been no Anti War Protests or sit ins. Today, Cuba and Korea would not be hot button topics and the foreign policies that outrage countries around the world would’ve been eradicated by the time Bobby’s second term ended. Every American should stand on this spot and grieve for the tens of thousands who have died as a result of his assassination and for the many more yet to . . .
