TCB With A Lightning Bolt

I wrote this song in August 1987 as I drove home to Los Angeles from Memphis after standing with over 100,000 people at the gates of Graceland for the 10 year anniversary of ELVIS PRESLEY'S death. I sought to capture the essence of ELVIS; a voice and a guitar. Many people have marveled at the beauty of this song and have been touched by it without knowing what the lyrics mean. They are responding to the passion I felt as I sang it in much the same way people from all over the world love ELVIS music without understanding the language.
